The Mardi Gras frou

OWhen my friend Dee was about to celebrate her birthday, I wanted to make something special for her. She is such a fun, colorful person that whatever I made had to be a reflection of her amazing personality, so I selected bright, bold colors. 

Dee's favorite color is purple, so I started her 14" wreath with royal purple mesh. Since good friends are priceless, I thought adding gold mesh would reflect her awesomeness.

After I finished with her wreath colors, I added sparkly teal peacock ribbon. It was coming along well! Before I knew it, her wreath was shaping up to look like a Mardi Grad wreath! 

I painted a funky fun S in purple and sparkles to reflect her sparkly personality, whipped up a bow, attached a hanger, and professed the wreath done!
